Today, I will be writing about how to make one of my favorite dishes. It's called fried plantain. In Nigeria, particularly the Yoruba tribe- its called 'Dodo'.

It's so easy to make that you'll want to have it each day.

The ingredients needed are:

-Ripe Plantain
-Salt to taste
-Vegetable oil for frying

Frying directions

  1. Peel off the plantains

  2. Wash and Slice as desired into a neat bowl and add salt. Toss the plantain to ensure that the salt is evenly distributed.

  3. Pour oil into the frying pan and allow to heat. When the oil is hot enough, add the plantains in batches.

  4. Fry till the desired browning is achieved.

  5. Remove the plantain and place in a sieve to drain out the oil.
    Repeat with remaining plantains.

Your delicious Fried Plantain is ready to be served. You can consume with a fried egg, Moi-Moi or Tea
