Yesterday's carnivore lunch

What research are you referring to that says a animal based diet is "harder" on the human body than a vegan diet?

What do you think we would be eating if we ran down and killed the animal that we are not getting now. We have started to eat organ meats but many carnivores and native peoples dont/didn't eat organs.

Everything I have seen and my first hand experience says meat is easier for the human body to digest than plants. Fermented foods are mainly of benefit to people eating carbs, most people see a increase in fecal biome diversity upon going carnivore.

I agree that fermented vegetables are one of the less irritating plant based foods because of the fermentation but not necessarily a benefit to a carnivore

The reason we cook meat is to help break it down to make it easier to digest. Meat, typically, has a lot of protein. Proteins are more complex for our body's to break down. I have even tried this myself, skipping meat in a meal or two and seeing how I felt in the morning. People's body's are different though.

https://drjohnbergman.com/should-i-eat-meat/ The link here is just an article but it's from a doctor that I've followed for about a year now. He's got a lot of youtube videos that are very well cited.

If you scour pubmed.gov you'll find that most of the published papers from studies don't tell you much at all. Many of which are absurd and suggest obvious bias.

In the article he mentions that meat tends to cause an inflammatory response. Judging by you two, it seems that meat my cause less of an inflammatory response than other foods, which could definitely be the case. Most allergies and autoimmune disorders are not genetic(like everyone thinks) but rather are genetic expression caused by metabollic disease. At least that's what seems apparent to me.

The other reason meat is tough on you is because it is not alkaline. Animal matter is very acidic while it's in your colon, and while a healthy digestive system means that it won't be there long, over time, it has a poisoning effect on your body.

As for fermented veggies, they are not for the veggie part so much. They're for the probiotic part. Build up the good bacteria in your stomach and digestive track.

What you're missing from animals that you might get from, say, sauer kraut or kimchi, is..I can't remember, what the guy said. However, it's not hard to believe that bacteria exists in meat(that you might run down and eat raw) that would not exist in processed meat.

As far as an increase in fecal biome diversity in going carnivore, I'd question how anyone could know if that was beneficial bacteria or not.

You guys seem to be doing well with your diet. Above all, including doctors and science, I listen to my own body and education. I wouldn't encourage any other behavior.
