Visited Vietnam last year but was only able to be in Saigon and Danang. We did have some turmeric cake though but it didn't look like the one above. The one we had was filled with pork, shrimp, bean paste, etc. Was pretty good. Curious what the Thai Binh cake taste like. Is it sweet? What are the fillings? Does it have bean paste inside? Vietnam is such as foodie haven. Each region has its own unique cuisine. Sometimes certain food can only be found in one region and nowhere else. Will be visiting Vietnam again soon and looking forward to discovering more unique food.
