Moringa Leaves Vegetable
According to FAO, Moringa leaves contain high protein, vitamin A, B, C and minerals. Because of high contents of nutrient , WHO also suggests that Moringa is good to be given to baby and children during their growth period . The content of vitamin at Moringa leaves are 7 x vitamin C in orange, 4 x calcium in milk, 4 x vitamin A in carrot, 2 x protein in milk, 3 x potasium in banana .
In East java, Moringa plants are easily found in the area. Moringa is easy to grow and no need difficult maintenance. Moringa leaves is cooked in simple way, just add water, salt and a kind of root spice call krachai/fingerroot/Chinese ginger. Moringa vegetable is the most often vegetable I’ve ever eaten when I was child. The fruit of Moringa also edible. I will write about this at steemit later.

When I moved overseas, I found out that Moringa leaves powder is sold as superfood. And the price is quite expensive. I still like Moringa in fresh form, I can buy the fresh leaves at Asian supermarket. It need 1 hour journey for me to buy this Moringa leaves.

Here is the recipe :
Ingredient:
Moringa leaves (about 3 handfull)
1-2L water
1 tsp salt
2 pcs scallion
1 kracai /fingerroot/Chinese ginger/ Boesenbergia rotunda
1 handful corn/soaked rice (optional) grinded
Method:
Boil the water, put in salt, scallion, kracai , corn. Wait until the water boiling again. Put in the Moringa leaves for about 1 minutes. Ready to serve. Do not overcooked. Serve with rice or potatoes

Sayur Kelor
sayur kelor adalah sayuran bergizi tinggi. Menurut FAO, kelor mengandung banyak protein tinggi nabati ,vitamin A,B,C dan mineral. Produk daun kelor juga bisa bergungsi sbg zat anti inflammatory.
Badan organisasi kesehatan dunia (WHO) juga menganjurkan agar bayi dan anak anak pada masa pertumbuhan mengkonsumsi daun kelor . kandungan vitamin pada kelor adalah 7 x vitamin C pada jeruk 4 x calcium pada susu 4 x vitamin A pada wortel 2 x protein pada susu 3 x potasium pada pisang .
Tanaman kelor ini di Jawa Timur asal saya, banyak terdapat dimana mana, rata rata tiap rumah di desa mempunyai tanaman kelor, karena tanaman kelor mudah tumbuh dan tidak memerlukan perawatan sulit. Kelor juga mudah tumbuh di iklim kering sekalipun. Biasanya kelor di sayur bening, jadi hanya dibumbui garam, kunci, dan daun bawang. Ini adalah sayur yang paling sering saya makan waktu saya kecil dulu.
Di luar negeri daun kelor ini dijual sebagai makanan /suplemen makanan superfood. Daun kelor dikeringkan, lalu ditumbuk. Harganya lumayan mahal.
Biji kelor juga bisa dibuat sayur, nanti akan saya tulis di steemit yang akan dating.
Pindah ke Irlandia utara tidak menghalangi kesukaan saya makan sayur daun kelor. Untungnya daun kelor dijual di supermarket Asia, walaupun jaraknya agak jauh dari rumah, tidak menghalangi saya mencari sayur kesukaan ini.
Resep sayur kelor:
Bahan:
Daun kelor secukupnya
Air ½-1 liter
Garam 1 sdt (atau sesuai selera)
1 daun prei
1 temu kunci
Jagung muda pipilan segenggam/beras yg direndam 2 sdm. Haluskan/uleg.
Cara memasak:
Didihkan air , masukkan semua bumbu, biarkan sampai mendidih lagi. Incipi rasanya sampai pas. Masukkan daun kelor SEBENTAR SAJA (kira kira 1 menitan). Angkat panci. Sayur siap dihidangkan. Jangan kelamaan dimasak karena sayur akan berbau langu.
