Recently I had been to St Paul in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The Lower town had a charm of its own with architectural buildings and offices maintaining the heritage. At the same time, there were excellent fine dining restaurant options. My colleague and I opted to go at a French restaurant Meritage.
As expected the restaurant was packed for dinner and after somw wait we got our table. The ensemble of wine they had with a huge menu book just for wine was amazing. So we decided to discuss with the server who was kind enough to explain us the pairings.
They food was amazing right from the appetizer to dessert, but what was compelling was the Duck entree with an exotic name -
Lacquered Minnesota Magret Duck Breast
Which was a duck confit spätzle, braised red cabbage, duck-apple sausage
Oh it was so awesome that we cant forget it. If you happen to dine at a french restaurant, you of course expect a good preparation of duck but this was really out of the world!
If you have any other favorites in French dining, do comment below. Until enjoy this mouth-watering picture.
