My name is Sai. One of the greatest pleasures of my life is cooking and sharing food with family and friends.
My food is all about quality ingredients, fresh, seasonal produce, craftsmanship, experimentation, accomplishment, entertainment and lots of passion. I have written a fantastic cookbook which is going to be published soon in New Zealand and Australia.
I began assisting my mother in the kitchen at a young age and during those years she nurtured me and gave me the courage to explore different ingredients and flavours. She taught me that there are no hard and fast rules to cooking in general except when it comes to baking, confectionery and desserts, as there is a definite science to it. Her advice gave me the confidence and courage to experiment with different ingredients and flavours across a variety of cuisines.
