It was the expected day of each December, to live traditions in the form of typical dishes prepared during Christmas. As usual we share as a Family while we elaborate the Hallacas for Christmas Eve. Although the disposition of ingredients was somewhat complicated, they are very tasty. The hallacas are a traditional element of Venezuelan Christmas. It is a stew of meats inside a corn dough and wrapped in banana leaves. The stew takes ingredients such as wine, olives, capers and other elements such as chickpeas and raisins. I share the joy of having tasted my first hallaca, an usual milestone shared in the social networks of Venezuelans during this time. I hope there are many more in the upcoming holidays.
