We're celebrating our abundance today with a delicious, nutritious, sustainable feast!

There's more than enough of everything, and it is our duty & pleasure to share it. If you or anyone you know wants or needs food, contact us - we will give you free food, no questions asked. We make this offer every single day, because we are here to help one and all.

We prepared some comforting favorites for our full time volunteers over our handmade earthen rocket stoves in our sustainable outdoor kitchen - today we had a multi course meal that stretched throughout the evening, starting with hot, melty, crispy grilled cheese sandwiches!!

We have lots of cheese and bread right now, so this is the second time that we happily prepared grilled cheese sandwiches in the past few days. We're big on making use of the bounty at hand! Plus, they are extremely delicious and sometimes we get on a kick of eating the same food on a few days in a row (helloooooo, potatoes!!!).

Just look at these beauties, all cozy in the cast iron skillet 😍

For these classic sandwiches, we use lots of butter on the bread so they get nice and crunchy over the fire as the cheese gets all gooey and creamy on the inside. The cheesier, the better!! We used lots of muenster in these.

But that was just one course of tonight's meal! We also had soup and salad as well as fixins for lettuce wraps!!

We have bright, crispy garden greens for salad every day and tons of toppings available for fully custom dankness. An epic salad usually has delicious, healthy veggies and a satisfying combo of flavors, textures, and colors on top. We like to combine salty, sweet, sour, spicy, chewy, crunchy, and creamy elements to make something unique every day!

This individual's salad had dried cranberries (sweet & chewy) with nuts (salty & crunchy) and crumbled cheese (creamy & salty) with a homemade strawberry vinegar dressing (sour & sweet) and a sprinkle of our spicy Eden peppers!

We prepared some chicken for anyone who wanted to eat meat, and we made some nice lettuce wraps of it along with fermented veggies, homemade mayo, and pesto.

The soup du jour (we also enjoy multiple soups a week!) is an easy, thick, creamy, blended veggie soup with sprinkles of dried coconut, sprouted sunflower seeds, cilantro, and sriracha sauce.

To round out the meal, we made an easy vegan chocolate pudding that is worthy of its own post! Stay tuned for the formula for this fast & healthy treat.

Food is important, and we hope to inspire people to really take time to eat, enjoy it, and share it with someone you love. We also hope to inspire more and more sustainable practices in regards to food!

So so yummy!!!

Love that you're making grilled cheese on cast iron!! authentic and no hacks using a sandwich press (although grilled cheese toasties made this way are also delicious!)

Wow . . Very good. . Thankyou for sharing @gardenofeden. . Upvote

You're welcome!

The danger of coming across one of your posts late night is the 100% guarantee of a craving for a midnight snack that will be 100% pathetic in reality, as compared to your amazing pictures and the mouthwatering details behind them. You've set the bar too high. C'mon..!

The whole reason we do what we do is because standards are pathetically low. We are here to demonstrate what really IS possible! It's now almost 3 am where we are and someone is having a late night craving so they're out in the yard firing up the rocket stove to whip up something dank. :) Hope you can upgrade your own food reality, @steemmatt!
