Hi Friends... Today here I am with a mouth watering recipe for making of these Golden Yellow Poories with delicious Yellow Dal-Thova!!

So this is what I made for our breakfast today.

First let me explain the method of preparing Poories.

Ingredients :
1 cup water
One tea spoon (flat) salt
One tea spoon (full) sugar
2 Table spoon refined oil.
Wheat flour

Using these ingredients make a smooth and soft dough.

Method :
Add water in a bowl and add salt, sugar oil and stir well. Then add wheat flour slowly and make a dough without lumps. Keep it closed for an hour. Make small balls. Now make Poories using rolling pin, keep enough oil in a frying pan, heat and deep fry until Golden Yellow (Or golden brown).

Here adding a little bit of sugar and salt to the dough makes it more tasty and adding oil to the dough makes the Poories delicious and crispy and in in 4while deep frying it doesn't absorb much oil again ...

To make this Yellow Dal or Dal Thova

Ingredients :
Tur Dal - One cup (Tur dal is split Pegion Pea)
Moong Dal - Half cup( split Green gram)
Tomato - 1
Green chilly - 1
Coriander leaves - one bunch
Turmeric powder - one pinch.
Cook these things in pressure cooker untill the dals are soft.

Pressure Cook these things

After opening the cooker, pour this into a pan add salt to taste, keep for boiling. When it starts boiling, give a seasoning.

Ingredients for seasoning :
One red chilly
Hing or Asafoetida
Curry leaves
Cumin seeds (You can also use mustard instead of cumin)
Coconut oil - 1 table spoon.

Here we must use fresh coconut oil.(Or we can also use pure ghee). Using coconut oil gives a better taste than using pure ghee!!

This dal is my own preparation after trying so many times, and making some changes in South or North Indian styles and blending the two!!

So finally here is a plate of delicious breakfast - 'Golden Yellow Poories with Yellow Dal Thova'
