My search for the perfect recipe for home made pizza has come to an end! My family loves it and I recommend you guys to try it. It is a vegetarian version of the yeast dough but I guess you can veganize it as well.
INGREDIENTS:
Dough: (Makes about 8 medium sized pizzas)
- 14 g dried yeast
- 500 ml warm milk
- 2 table spoons sugar (I used organic brown sugar)
- ca. 600 g flour (I used organic white flour)
- 2 eggs
- 150 ml oil (I used ogarnic, cold pressed olive oil)
- 1 table spoon salt
Pizza sauce:
- 800 g chopped canned tomatoes
- 2 gloves of garlic
- 2 table spoons of oregano (I used organic dried oregano)
- 1/2 tea spoon salt
- 1/2 tea spoon sugar (I used organic brown sugar)
Pizza topping examples:
- mozarella
- roasted zucchinis and aubergines
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Add yeast into the warm milk and mix it with sugar. Cover and leave it for about 10-15 minutes.
- Add eggs, oil, salt and about 400 g of flour. Mix it well, cover and leave it for about 1 hour in a warm place.
- Add the rest of the flour and mix it well using your hands. Add a bit more flour if needed. The dough should be very soft and of a consistancy so you can roll your flat pizzas.
- Divide your dough in 8 equal pieces and roll your first pizzas (depending on how thick you like your pizza, it should be about 5 mm thick)
- Leave the rolled out dough for about 20-30 minutes
- Pre heat your oven to 250° Celsius and put your first rolled pizza dough without any topping on it for about 2 minutes.
- Take your pizza bread out of the oven and add topping: Tomato sauce, mozarella cheese, veggies.
- Bake your pizza for another 10-15 minutes until the cheese melts and gets a nice color you like.
Et voilà! Bon Appetit ☺️
