This is the first time I am using carob powder and I think it will be a regular ingredient in my desserts from now on. The apples go perfectly with the carob and the cocoa powder. You simply have to try this recipe.

Ingredients:
1 cup sugar
1 cup ground carob
1 and 1/2 cup flour
1 cup olive oil
some vanilla extract
1 tablespoons cocoa powder
2 teaspoons baking powder
pinch of salt
5 apples, peeled and grated
For the cocoa frosting:
4 tablespoons confectioners sugar
3 tablespoons water
3 tablespoons cocoa powder
1 tablespoons oil

Preheat the oven to 350 F (180 C).
Peel and grate the apples and put them aside.
Mix together the flour, carob powder, baking powder, sugar, vanilla and cocoa powder and salt. Combine them well.
Add the oil and the grated apples and mix everything well.
Grease a bundt cake pan and pour the mixture in the pan.
Bake for about 30 minutes.

For the frosting
Heat the water and sugar in a pot until the sugar is dissolved. Add the cocoa and oil and mix everything for a minute.

When the cake is baked pour the frosting over the cake.

Serve warm or cold, it's equally delicious.
