Ten years ago, Laszlo Hanyecz (a developer) decided to make a use case with bitcoin. Hanyecz is the first person to use bitcoin to buy something. He bought two pizzas for 10,000 BTC.

At the time, 10,000 BTC was $41 dollars.

Now it is around $90 million dollars.

This day has become a day of celebration as โ€œBitcoin Pizza Day.โ€

I think he had done it to prove that BTC at that time can be used to buy a product or service. @gungho but he definitely no thinking that BTC would go up in crazy but expected prices today.

I told my brother about BTC when it was still 5 cents, to mine it with his computer at his office in his workplace, he just ignored me.

Wow! you knew about bitcoin when it was only 5 cents? You had a sense of value because you knew it would grow big. It always seems that siblings never listen, do they. I didn't know about Bitcoin until it became the highest price in 2017 because I read an article on it. By then, it was too late. Back then, Steem was $3.40 for 1 Steem. Now it is 13~20 cents. Cryptocurrency is very volatile. Nobody knows what the value will be sometime down the road. It could surprise you positively or negatively.

I was already trading at Poloniex around 2017 too when I learned about steem token, I noticed that it has a good swing price then I discovered about steem community from a trollbox of Hashnest the cloudmining site. One guy there shares his post in the trollbox and I went to see what it is all about I told myself to give it a go because I know how to make a basic blog already. The rest is history until now @gungho

Steem community came to my aid in that time that steem was mooning which is why I was able to support myself until now.

The bitcoin pizza story is such an interesting part of the crypto curreny's history. It was also a pretty big milestone for bitcoin as well being the first, or one of the first, transactions with the coins. It was a great way to spread the coins to new users as well

He's kind of like a hero for taking the first step in trying to use the coins regardless of the value of them or what value they would be in the future. I don't think I could have spent 10,000 Bitcoin on a couple of pizzas even when it was 41 bucks. What about you?

Powerdown has now been changed to 25%, which in a sense is now possible to fully powerdown in 4 weeks.
If you cancel your powerdown (drip drip...10 weeks), you can speed up the process. But in your case, you only have 3 days left, so after that you could cancel and get more. Just a suggestion.
Your 25% is 248.5โ€ฌ @leaky20 instead of 109
It looks like steemit will die in 4 weeks? I don't know, just a guess.
We have to be quick on our feet.

Thanks for the advice. I wasn't aware. I'm not on steemit very often anymore lol
