My girlfriend made the most delicious lamb and scalloped potatoes for Valentine's day. She usually cooks amazing Brazilian food, but she wanted to try something new and she nailed it!
The key is to cut slits in the meat, season, and sear all sides before throwing in the oven. It's a simple dish, but felt special and melted in my mouth! The potatoes were Yukon gold. She used heavy cream and cheese for the sauce. And she finished with a creamed spinach, this time a little lighter on the cream.
She's a keeper!
