I want to tell you about a lovely little place that I used to work. It's a lovely green home business here in town, called Made With Love! It's one of the greenest businesses I am aware of in this city. Their motto is, "Happy Healthy People on a Happy Healthy Planet", and everything they do, as people and as a business shows that, very authentically.
I truly adore Made With Love. They care about the environment, and the future of generations to come. They have a sustainable business, and are taking all the steps they can to ensure that their business is as eco-friendly as it can be. They want to change the world, one delicious blend at a time. They are an excellent example of a green business.
Some ways that they show their care for the environment is by excluding the use of plastic from ALL of their packaging. Their cello bags, labels and wax seals are all very much biodegradable. Isn't that awesome?! They use glass bottles which can actually be properly recycled (unlike the plastic alternatives that often end up in landfills, or in the oceans, and thus in the bellies of fish and whales). They don't print a whole lot, and what they do print is printed onto 100% recycled paper, or options that do not contain trees at all. The inks on their labels are vegetable based. Their wholesale catalog is available through email only, there are no printed copies. Most of their information is available online, and their products can be purchased through their online Etsy shop, or in local grocery shops. They also choose to take responsibility for their product the whole way through, from planning to waste. They hope to aid the planet in creating a garbage-free and healthy place to be.
Made With Love aims to inspire people to eat and spend consciously, because we are truly casting a vote for the kind of world we want to live in, with every dollar we spend. They are humble people, who see a possibility for a better world. There are no GMO's in their products, nor are there any free flowing agents, additives, preservatives, or silicon dioxide used. They source their ingredients from their home garden, as well as local farmers, and some global organic suppliers, and fair trade sources, as well. They care about the impacts they are making, and are offering great products to consumers that are both healthy and mindfully made. A lot of their ingredients are certified organic, as well.
There are 9 spice blends and 6 gourmet magic meals that Made With Love creates. They are absolutely delicious, too! They support organic agriculture, as well as fair trade practices. They recognize that we have to leave this planet in better shape than we found it! They want to support real live human beings, rather than just fuelling a corporate profit or machines. The team at Made With Love crafts everything by hand with, you guessed it... LOVE! They truly value the people that work with them, and they appreciate all of the farmers, artisans and customers that they are connected to.
I feel that Made With Love is a business that supports the greening OF the economy. They are adding their own unique touch to the economy, to the food industry, improving existing solutions. They are considerate of the footprint they are leaving for generations to come. I truly feel that their products and business are helping our future. They want to inspire people to eat REAL food as well, and it can be fast and easy, and fun!
