There are plenty of condiments and side dishes that are being used among Filipinos, it has always been a part of the Filipino tradition cuisine.

Buro or Balao-Balao - is fermented rice which can be colored or plain, even or dark pink. Sometimes they're mixed with fish, and they're mainly a condiment which can be mixed with steamed or boiled vegetables such as okra, sweet potato leaves, eggplant and the rest.
