TGIF: My Favorite Recipes:Grandma's Chocolate Chip Cookies

in food •  7 years ago

These chocolate chip cookies are firm on the rim yet have a soft center. They are the best cookies I have ever had and beat any store bought ones.

INGREDIENTS:

2 1/4 cups flour

1/2 cup sugar

3/4 cup light brown sugar

1 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp salt

2 tbsp vanilla

1 cup softened butter

1 egg

1 cup chocolate chips

PROCEDURE:

1. Preheat oven to 325 F

2. In a small bowl, stir together flour, baking soda and salt. Set aside.

 3. In a large bowl, beat butter, sugar and brown sugar together until it is creamy.  Add vanilla and egg to the butter mixture.

4. Add dry ingredients to the butter mixture and mix well.

5. Add chocolate chips gradually and mix well.

6. Roll a teaspoon full of dough into a ball. Place the ball on an cookie sheet then press it down with the palm of your hand.  Making sure the dough is 2 inches apart from each other.

7. Bake for 6-7 mins or until the edges are golden brown and the middle is still white. The cookies will seem undercooked but once they are cool, they will have a soft center.

Enjoy your cookie with your coffee and forget about diet for another day.
