We are planning a trip to Thailand sometime in the near future,
and this Sunday passed, we decided to go out for dinner
and give Jude his first little of taste of what is to come... hehe

but first, it was time to make ourselves pretty... hehe :)
An easy feat for Jude, a little more challenging for me lol...

And he was TOO sweet because he dressed himself,
insisted on combing his own hair (although I hate how he did it lol)
but, we overlook these small things...
the fact remains... he combed his own hair...

❤ A taste of Thai for my little man ❤

Whilst looking for somewhere to go for dinner,
I discovered this absolute little gem which I had NEVER heard of before,
which was quite amazing because it is literally 5 minutes away from where we live...

It is actually quite a tiny restaurant,
but exquisite inside!

Welcome to Erawan

Seated at our table, it was time to order our drinks.
One of the things that caught my attention when browsing their website,
was the awesomely comfy looking chairs,
so I was thrilled to discover that we got a table with them :)

Sadly, the wine shot
(which is normally my favourite one)
was somewhat ruined as the waitress spilled wine over the label :(

but the wine was still fabulous haha!
and was accompanied by some delicious
prawn crackers, chilli, sweet chilli and soy sauce.
YUM!!

Jude even did a little bit of wine tasting hehe...
although very promptly said YUK and asked for some water hehe...

We wanted to explore as much as we could on the menu
for Jude's sake, so we started off with some
prawn dim sums.
They were absolutely DIVINE!!!

And Jude got a chopsticks lesson at the same time hehe!
He actually did fabulously!

After we polished off the dim sums,
we ordered some crispy wontons and
sticky chicken wings.
The wontons were definitely the hit of the day
for the guys, but personally...
I preferred the prawn dim sums,
but then - I am a complete prawn junkie! haha :)

I then ordered some Tom Kha
which is a coconut soup with chicken, vegetables,
coriander and lime leaves!

It was out of this world delicious
and I would love to try my hand at making it myself!

Jude ordered his main which I forget the name of,
but essentially was egg noodles with chicken and veg...
and we ordered some spring rolls
and some more crispy wontons hehe :)

At this point, I have to be honest -
I was so full I actually could not move!! hahaha

But, no matter how full you are,
there is always space for a tasty dessert...
so Jude and I decided to share a chocolate mousse!

It was AMAZEBALLS!!!!

I cannot believe that I did not know this place existed!
The service was impeccable,
the food was mindblowing tasty
and Jude had a super first intro into Thai cuisine,
so it looks like we are a positive road for our trip ahead
EXCEPT for mommy giving Jude public displays of affection!
hehehe :)
