Juicy and tantalizing are the words I would use to describe the street food in Zanzibar. Travelers from all walks of life meet her in the evening. The vendors display all manner of food items. The food was affordable. It was not prepared in the cleanest of conditions but I realise that is how most street foods in the world are. You take a bite and hope to God that your stomach can handle it. However, apart from that demerit, everything tasted really great and teh seafood was fresh because by 10pm, travelers have cleared all the food.

Hmm interesting, food is definitely not the first thing coming to mind when it comes to Zanzibar. What cuisine is it more similar to, or was it influenced by European or Asian cuisine?

Hey friend. Yes when you think of Zanzibar, you think of the beaches and great scenery. The food has an Asian and Swahili influence. That was the main entry point during the slave trade era and one can see the influences even on the artchitecture.
