One of the few places that I've actually seen them is my local Dollar Store.

I remember seeing these all over the place once upon a time but I guess they must have fallen out of favor.

I personally really love them so I'm not sure why they would.

Most potato chips these days lack that intense crunch that is so satisfying.

When you have a soft sandwich on soft bread with cheese and meat you really need that crunch.

Sure you can add a pickle or some onions, and you definitely should add them, however it's nice to have some crunchy chips on the side as well.

These fit the bill.

They're basically little fried potato skins in the shape of an oval or egg.

There's a generous amount of cheddar and bacon flavored seasoning on each side.

One side is light and flaky like a chip while the other side is dark and crunchy.

The dual texture is one of my favorite parts of this chip.

It seems like the tagline is only partly aimed at the direct consumer and mostly aimed at places like convenience stores which explains is why these appear in all the Dollar stores.

It doesn't matter why though...... they're just really good.

If you've got a dollar in you're at your local Dollar Store I think this is one of the best snacks you can get there.
