Wild apricots are named for their appearance rather than their taste. Like all wild fruit, this one has a large pip (seed) in relation to the fruit, unlike the cultivated fruits that we eat that have been bred over generations to have smaller seeds and larger flesh. The fruit has a pleasant but tart, sherbet-like flavour and is very high in Vitamin C.
