The Night Markets happen every weekend. It's a weekly treat that I really look forward to. The food is amazing, reasonably priced and its a chance to try food from around the world. There are amazing selections of international cuisine and scrumptious desserts!

This week was particularly special because it hosted the Rugby World Cup! 🏆

I'm so happy i ate just before I looked at this. But ofc...that sweet shelf still spoke to me.....

Haha who could resist! There are more sweet stalls at the market. I will get more pictures next time. 😉🎂🍰

Oh my gosh, I want the red velvet cake! And the chocolate cake... and well... basically everything on that particular picture please :-)

I know!!! They usually have an amazing German chocolate cake but it always sells out! 😣🎂

Ooh that sounds good! Hope you managed to find yourself a piece some day :D

I just missed out on the last slice while i was taking the photo! 😓
I'll have to get in earlier!

I love the food markets in Asia, I didn't realise they had them in New Zealand! It looks like they have food from all different corners of the world as well!

Where in New Zealand is this?

Oh yes! NZ is a very Multicultural country so we are lucky to have all sorts of foods available. This is just a small selection in Hamilton where I am from but there are bigger markets are in Auckland and have more range and cultural diversity.

My ex-girlfriend is Thai and she lives in Auckland at the moment. She tells me that she loves it there. A lot of my Thai friends say that there is a huge Asian community in Australia and New Zealand so maybe the multi-cultural night markets shouldn't surprise me...

Elephant Ears?!? We call them whale tails. Did you ask those asian people about Gobo?

Yes I did. There should be some available in my Asian Market soon. It is more availble in the bigger city of Auckland where there is a higher Asain population.
That's so funny that you call them whale tails! I wonder why theu have a different name here? I tried it and it is really yummy! 🤗

Now that I think about it sometimes we even call them beaver tails. The Hungarians probably invented it, different food stalls call it different things. I have heard an apocryphal story that the Hungarians invented pizza!

You should try Waffelicious waffles one day, thats my stall 😄 I will be off this week but coming back a week after. Friday in Papatoetoe Hunters Plaza, Saturday in Pakuranga, and Sunday in Glenfield.

I accept bitcoin or steem for payment.

Wow that so cool! I would have never have guessed I would meet a night market stall holder on Steemit! I'll try come up to Auckland when I can to try your Waffles! They look amazing!!!

Thanks, 😊
