Sembikiya Tokyo

The best place in the world to buy Japanese Fruits is Sembikiya in Tokyo. It is a very old company which served emperors and presidents from all over the world. The very best fruits from Japan are sold in their stores.

The most expensive and best fruits in Japan

Boy these prices are insane!!!

I always go into Sembikya and eat something in their Cafe. They offer fantastic food (like Mango Curry Rice) and Fruit based desserts. In Japan there is a culture of "Omiage" which basically means you gift someone something, so if your are a businessman you send your business partner an expensive gift (a Melon for 350 USD... etc.) Of course the melon could be bought for 50 USD or less, but thee presentation of the fruit in the giftwrapping and Wooden Box is fantastic.

Anybody tried a melon here ???

This is ridiculous. I grow these in my backyard and they cost 75c/kilo

You can be super riiiich in Japan!! lol

hehe ;) well it is all about brand and reputatoin

I don't think it would work anywhere else in the world. This is some kind of culture/honor thingy with this company. It's not like one cannot grow these at home.

I am pretty sure , but jp products are really good ;)

I know, I have tasted them but really not THAT good!

if steem prices goes up to 5usd again. I will buy and sample one 350usd melon for my blog...

The people who would pay this much for a fruit are the ones who only know 'The PRICE of everything and VALUE of nothing'.

In the US, the only melons that cost $350 USD come attached to a prostitute.

haha ;) true true

Nice post. Very expensive but to use for business purposes genius!

Expensive but worth it!

I'm shopping here when steemit goes up!

I admire this culture, this place looks extremely hygienic and orderly, the added value of the product, I am happy to visit your post sir @ knozaki2015, thank you very much for these delicatesen

thank you !

I want to ask you how was the piece of the fruits on the desert?

it depends. could be as cheap as 16usd for the curry

Hihi. 350 Dollar für eine Melone. Hammer.

ja krass ne

That's where the real deals & contracts get inked and signed, alongside those high end/high dollar melons! It's always a new experience following you on your travels bro! Good stuff.

I heard the Japanese keep the best for themselves and not export. May explain the high price.

Man what a great article , though I want some of these fruits !!&_& thanks @konzaki2015

very expense fruits.

Crazy expensive! And so small!
