FOOD: Eating Yogurt Could Lower Your Risk of Heart Attacks and Stroke

Hi, I got intrigued by what you wrote. Looked it up, and here is a link to a very brief write up about yogurt and CVD hypertension in men and women. Over all their risks were reduced. What this finding doesn't say a word about is whether the yogurt was full fat yogurt or low fat/no fat yogurt.

I can see an issue with this finding if the yogurt was low fat/ fat free. The added sugar would make this more difficult to conclude. We know today that sugar is a big part of this disease.

We have all seen the pictures of the old, wrinkly and toothless Russian men and women that has eaten yogurt all their lives.
It is something to this topic for sure!

I think eating yogurt, and fermented milk products is a culture thing. Where I come from we have many different types. Heart problems still in the picture, but not as much as in other countries like USA.
Chinese people have a hard time digesting yogurt and milk products as adults, and don't have so much hypertension or CVD if I remember correctly. Can their gut bacteria be regulated through other fermented products they have ?

This is for sure a very interesting topic, and there is so much we don't know. Tq for posting about it.
