Yes, it is a passion. This yarn is made of long staple cotton fibers twisted just enough to give it durability but not so as to crimp its natural beauty to the eye or its natural beauty to your hands. The fiber is then quickly passed through a gas flame to magically erase any little fluff that might dare to still be there. An ancient technique. What a treat to work with such a fiber. Though the red was the same size and approximately the same twist it was not long staple or passed through a flame. Now if you look closely you will see that there is less weave definition in that section. But hey, I needed some berries.
