OUT OF AFRICA : FURA DA NONO AND IT NUTRITIONAL BENEFIT YOU SHOULD KNOW

Here is my second post on steemit it about a wonderful drink called fura da nono (Hausa word), which translate to millet and milk. The Fura which means millet and Nono which means milk. The milk and the millet (called Fura bolls) are mix together in a bowl to formed Fura da Nono. It originates from northern Nigeria and its sold in a round calabash bowl and eaten with a specially made spoon, these days it is now been sold in plastic water bottles which can be drink directly from the bottle without spoon.
Fura da Nono drink i been sold by young Fulani girls found around West Africa and Northern Nigeria.

The fura is gotten from millet flour which has been spiced with ginger, cloves and sometimes a little pepper and the milk which is gotten by milk cow by hand.I Always look forward to anytime am in the northern part of Nigeria during my travels.

NUTRITIONAL AND HEALTH BENEFIT

• Fura da nono has high protein content which build and repair tissue and also calcium to maintain strong bones.
• magnesium in Fura can help to reduce heart attack and Niacin (vitamin B3) an lower cholesterol in every cell of the body.
• The millet in Fura da nono is know for long life and healthy living.
• The alkaline property of Fura da nono helps the body to digest and prevent constipation.
• Fura da Nono provides serotonin in the brain which regulate anxiety, Happiness and mood.
• Yoghurt such has nunu can give you flat abs. According to research conducted by University of Tennessee , Knoxville.
