Hello, Steemit fellows, and welcome to my Cheesy Thursday series. This is my 5th post about various cheeses and today's star is Camembert. It's one of my most favorite cheeses and I definitely like to enjoy one of these at least once a week!
Look at this beauty!
It's interesting, that this kind of cheese resembles a lot the Brie cheese and many people don't know how to recognize both of them. And do you know how?
While Brie comes in larger diameters, the Camembert is made in smaller "wheels". The Brie cheeses are thinner and weight more than their look alike brothers.
Of course, there is a slight difference in the flavor too! Camembert tends to be more "wild" in its flavors with very harsh bacteria processes, making it to be a little bit earthy, flavorful, barn-like. The yeast definitely does miracles here. That's why I love it!
On the other side, Brie is more "gentlemen" like in character, if I can say so. It has added cream in it, making it a lot more smoother and a bit fatty. Its flavors are more common and not so dare!
And how can you enjoy the Camembert cheese?
Of course you can eat it raw. And it is brilliant, but I like it a lot baked too. 20 minutes in the oven makes it melt in a perfect manner and aromas seem to explode in your mouth.
And tell me that photo doesn't make you to want a piece of that. I'm already hungry!
Do you like Camembert and how do you like it?
Please let me know in the comments bellow. I'm waiting for your response.
Bye for now and see ya!
