Walked down to Off the grid which is an event every Wednesday evening where food trucks gather. You can sit and eat and listen to music. Theres usually about 10 different trucks to choose from. Tonight i had Chicken and Waffles... the chicken was perfect. Lightly breaded and juicy... over a waffle square. Sides are mac and cheese and cooked greens. Honestly the sides were just ok but that chicken made up for it.
My girlfriend decided to go for a philly cheese steak sandwich. Some lady accidentally took our order from the window and then returned it because she said she was pescatarian and this wasnt her order. Instead of giving it to us... the worker had thrown it away and said ill make another one. He obviously rushed through making a sandwich in half the time and it showed. Never had such a sad philly cheese steak sandwich... its not hard to fuck one up but they managed to do it. Anyway... the music provided was cool. A band playing pop tunes... from jackson 5 to bruno mars’ uptown funk. A little kid that was 4 years old brought his own guitar and was facing the band rocking out. Watching him was the highlight of te evening.
