A lot of the lies that we're told are not just false, but complete 180-degree opposites from the truth. As a cannabis researcher, I see it all the time in topics like brain damage/development, memory, cancer, neurological conditions, etc.
Another one of those lies is the soy boy myth: that eating soy raises estrogen levels and therefore causes cancer; therefore, we should drink milk and eat meat instead of drink soy milk and eat tofu. It turns out soy treats not causes cancer and other diseases because it is an estrogen-receptor regulator. What does cause estrogen-dependent cancers (from a raise in mammalian estrogen levels) is dairy and meat.
An interesting new link between dairy and cancer has recently been discovered. Bovine Leukemia virus (BLV) DNA from cows has been found in human blood. It is suspected to be a food-borne infection from (raw) beef and dairy and is linked to human breast and lung cancer through circulation of infected blood cells to various tissues in the human body. BLV can be transmitted (even when not detectable) trough milk, blood, saliva, and snot. Some people may have immunity from the virus, but slaughterhouse workers seem more susceptible, probably through transmission of fluids.

Hmmm, there's another good thing about cannabis extracts - they contain no blood, pus, hormones, or feces! Hooray!!

LOL! Yeah, luckily there's a vegan alternative for everything, even the classic stuff like grilled cheese, pizza, nachos, iced cream, etc. Can still make cookies with egg replacer (ground psyllium). I don't like almond milk much, but there's so many types of milk and brands, there's usually something for everyone. Silk has good soymilk for drinking and coconut milk is good for cooking.

Cookies (and peanut butter sandwiches) always required a glass of milk, for me. Once I decided not to drink it anymore, my cookie intake dropped for a while. Eventually I realized what it was about breastmilk I enjoyed so much with cookies. It's partly the fact that it's cold, partly the fact that it's basic (not acidic like juice or pop), and partly the fact that it's creamy.
Coconut 'milk' (and some nut milks) are able to substitute in very satisfactorily for me.

Breastmilk is a blood product (separated from the rest of the blood by the mammary glands) and humans are the only animal to drink the breastmilk of another species. We're also the only animal to drink breastmilk as adults, something we've only been doing for a few thousand years - not enough time for our guts to adapt to it. The result is only 10% of humans are truly lactose tolerant. Everybody else gets sick from breastmilk, to varying degrees. And now we know it can directly give us cancer! When will people grow up and stop drinking cow tit?

Yuck! After you know, you can start to taste the blood in the milk for sure. It's apparently transfered through raw milk and beef, so I don't know why so many Australians have it. Maybe they like raw milk or beef sashimi haha, or maybe they're not as foodsafe? No idea, but I'm curious to read future studies and see if it even transfers through pasteurized milk.
