Today I will tell you about how to make kebab in house conditions.
About information you must know before it:
Kebab usually cook with pita, chopped meat, vegetables, spices and sauce. You can choose ingredients to taste.
This dish from Middle East countries.
In Moscow and Moscow area kebab is often cooked in small tents on the street. We call it "Shaurma". The buyer can observe all process of cooking and choose ingredients.
The price of kebab depends on various factors.
I love it with chicken meat and my choice often consists in that to choose cheese or standart pita.
I love with cheese pita and it's slightly more expensive, around $2.
In house conditions we will make kebab on a frying pan and for me it turns out much more tasty =)
For a start we need to cook chicken:
For this purpose we take chicken fillet, either a breast, or the whole chicken.
Chicken has to be cut on pieces.
We need to pickle meat.
It will be necessary for marinade:
Mayonnaise, salt, garlic (or onions) and pepper.
We squeeze out mayonnaise in a bowl with chicken, stir it, add salt and pepper, stir again.
Garlic goes last, we use garlic press and add it to bowl.
If you add onions, then just cut it.
Further we send chicken to the refrigerator for 1-2 hours.
Then we put meat on previously warmed frying pan. On the maximum temperature frying on both sides before emergence of a toasted crust then we switch over roastings to the average mode, we fill in water in a frying pan and cook until done.
If it's more convenient to you to cook chicken in an oven, then u can do it too :)
Our meat is ready, it's necessary to cut it for pieces.
Sauce for our kebab:
For this purpose we need: 1 part of mayonnaise, 1 part of sour cream and parsley or dill to taste.
Further we cut vegetables on your discretion and greens, in my case it: cucumbers, tomatoes, red onions, dill and parsley.
You can do stuffing for kebab on your discretion. You can add cheese or hot pepper, whatever you want :)
After all these actions we put all stuff in pita (look at my photos).
At first we put sauce, further we put chicken, then vegetables and again sauce.
Then we wrap our pita. We put our kebab on a frying pan without any oil on average temperature for 1-2 minutes.
