Tang Xuan tearoom

From the moment I opened the door I could believe I was in China : red-painted wall and traditional chinese lamps suspended from the ceiling. I usually have a sit at a solid-wooden table in the most discreet place of the room. For the newcomer who is not accustomed to Chinese dishes, the choice may be unsettling because of the pastries’ exoticism. Most of the time I savour the “mille-feuille à la mangue” and a Hong Kong tea with milk.

But when I come with friends we would enjoy the impressive dessert set which is composed of different homemade pastries gently wrapped in the wreaths of smoke of a little decorative pot.

This is a delicious tea with chinese dates and goji ( these goji berries were used in a medicinal way in ancient China). These berries have a sweet and slightly- sour taste it's a very enjoyabledrink to end the day.
