Since I'm living in Osun, I've decided to show to my fellow steemians a lovely delicacy from here

Ikire is a major town in Osun State, south-west Nigeria.

The people of Ikire make an appetizer out of seasoned overripe plantains fried in Palm oil called 'Dodo Ikire', literally translated as 'Fried Plantain of Ikire'.

Well, if you are still not sure of what to do with your overripe plantains, Dodo Ikire is one of the delicacies that should come to your mind. It is easy to make and should be served with groundnuts, pepper sauce, or eaten alone.

INGREDIENTS:
2 or more ripe plantains
Salt to taste
Half teaspoon or dry pepper (powder)
Crushed groundnuts
1 cooking spoon of Palm oil and 1 cooking spoon of Vegetable oil.

METHOD:
Peel the overripe plantains
Mash to peeled Plantain with the crashed groundnuts to make a taste
Add the pepper and salt and stir in.
Mix the oils and steam/heat up
Scoop the Plantain with a teaspoon into the hot oil and fry till it turns brown.
Serve it with groundnuts or pepper sauce.
