This one is my all-time favorite. I love eating Sea food, though I do not enjoy cooking it much but once in a way I like to prepare some delicacies, especially when I have guests at home.
Not only me but my whole family is a Sea food lover, so we share mutual taste and do not have much of conflicts when it comes to selecting what needs to be prepared :-)
I missed clicking the pictures in the making but nevertheless I will share the recipe. It is one of the simplest dishes to prepare and cooking time is also very less. Overall, 20 minutes is the cooking time, so whenever I am running short of time I go in for such simple dishes, which are not only easy and fast to prepare but also very yummy in taste.
Let's get to the ingredients of this dish
Prawns cleaned up
For marination of prawns - Red chili paste 1 spoon, 1 spoon Garlic paste, 1 spoon cumin seeds paste, salt to taste, Turmeric powder, Garam Masala(mixed spices) powder. Leave the marination for 5 to 6 hours.
I ideally prefer to leave the marination overnight.
Other ingredients
Curry leaves
1 Big tomato - puree to be made
Cumin seeds
finely chopped garlic
1 spoon ghee
Some cloves, whole pepper and cinnamon pieces
Add ghee in the pan as it heats up, add cumin seeds, cloves, whole pepper and cinnamon sticks, stir it for 1 minute and add curry leaves and chopped garlic and let it cook for 2 to 3 minutes
Once the garlic gets a little brown add the tomato puree and allow it to cook for 5 minutes. When the color changes to dark red, the marinated prawns can be added in it. Do not add water in it as there will be water released from the prawns.
Allow the prawns to cook and the water to dry up and the dish is ready. Garnish it with chopped coriander.
The dish does not require much efforts and so fast to cook. But what I like about it is the taste.
You can try it out and share your feedback with me.
