Padam Padam - a great newcomer to the Abbesses neighbourhood | Le nouveau venu du quartier

Hi! Welcome to my first post on Steemit! (Pour les français, c'est en bas !)

I'm very excited to write my first post here and I decided to start this adventure by writing reviews of my favorite Parisian restaurants.
Today, I'll be talking about a newcomer in my "quartier" (neighbourhood): Padam Padam.

Padam Padam (from the Edith Piaf song), is a restaurant that opened in May 2017 and is already an must-do in the area.

The logo has a little touch of Art Déco which compliments well its 1930s inspiration

From left to right, head chef Marine Thomas and floor manager Elodie Recordon

In the kitchen, Marine Thomas is an already quite famous chef. Coming straight from the famous Ferrandi, Marine worked at La Rallonge, sending hundreds of tapas and confirming her talent. She then flew to the USA and opened up her taste buds to the West Coast fusion cuisine.
Now she launched her first restaurant in NoPi (North Pigalle) at 29, rue Véron, just under the Rue des Abbesses and a few meters from the internationally known Café des Deux-Moulins, where tourists come to seep a cup of coffee like they're in the Amélie Poulain movie.

In the "salle", Elodie Recordon has a impressive wine selection that never fails to satisfy your thirst. With 50 references in the underground sellar (no kidding!), you will surely find what you need to accompany the amazing tapas Marine will craft on her own in the kitchen.

In all honesty, I think it's one of the best restaurants in the area, and I wouldn't be surprised if it gets full in the next week.
So a little piece of advice, book a table before you go!
