A TINY BREAKFAST

in food •  7 years ago

Thanks @armadillocreek!

Back when I did my quick tour of some Missouri homesteads, I was blessed with some quail eggs from @armadillocreek. We tried hard-boiling some right away, and they were amazing. Yesterday, we finally tried a few over-easy, which was a real treat!

OVER EASY QUAIL EGGS

While the hard-boiled ones were excellent, we wanted to try some quail eggs another way too. While I was making some breakfast yesterday, Pinkie-Pepper brought in an 18-pack of the quail eggs that we received from @armadillocreek, so I gave them a try too.

Due to their size, they looked like little hors d'oeuvres. They also don't take as long to fully cook as chicken eggs.

I suppose that I could have fit quite a few more in this pan. Since we are thinking about getting some quail for our homestead one day, we were all very excited to try eating the eggs another way.

Of course, just one by itself on a plate doesn't look like a great breakfast. Maybe it looks like a good diet, but not a big breakfast for a hardworking man.

It doesn't even look like an appropriate breakfast for a tiny girl either. Thankfully, this was just one part of our breakfast, and a very welcome part at that!

Check out how excited those @little-peppers were once I got all the quail eggs cooked!

@LITTLE-PEPPERS ENJOY LITTLE EGGS FOR BREAKFAST

Here are just some fun photos of the @little-peppers enjoying their breakfast. It was an interesting experience, but also very delicious and we all enjoyed it! See for yourself!

As an added bonus, here is my interview with @armadillocreek in case you missed it!

As always, I'm @papa-pepper and here's the proof:

Maybe it looks like a good diet, but not a big breakfast for a hardworking man.

Not even for a lazy man😁
Even the pinkie-pepper seems discontented with one
I bet I could eat up 50 of those. Do they taste like chicken eggs?, never tried it before.

LOL - They do taste similar to chicken eggs. Of course the salt and pepper may have helped that.

I think they taste very similar, just the texture is slightly different?

super breakfast

Oh my goodness her face just made my day! Quail eggs are just so adorable 😄...and your family is beautiful. You are a blessed man indeed.

Dear @papa-pepper, It is good to see you eating egg poss in the morning. You could eat bread with it. This is a helpful meal. Hope you enjoy the meal afterwards.

At first I thought you were dieting your children, hahaha, but then I saw that everyone enjoyed it, including you. Best regards.

Nice

wah !!! Good morning, breakfast with main menu quail eggs

It certainly made for a good morning!

son muy ricos pruebalos con salsa rosada a mis hijos les encanta, muy hermosos @little-peppers saludos desde Venezuela

Haha, wow, i still wonder when you said it wasn't a great breakfast, i wouldn't agree with that because i could see those little kids eating with smiles, lol, that means the food was delicious. I must say its really a good meal and am salivating here, lol. Nice

Oh, I meant that it was a tiny breakfast and only one egg would not even fill a child up. I was just trying to make a joke.

Haha that is too funny!

Yeah, she did a really good job with her face for the cover photo!

Thanks for sharing. those are some tiny eggs. How different is the taste to from free range chickens?

It seems very tasty and they love it very much. It's a different way with the super tasty taste sensation. Quail eggs are small, but very nutritious. Thanks for sharing @papa-pepper. May you always be happy with beloved family.

Amazing pictures.these kids are so cute.btw intresting concept.

Thank you.

Did you notice any difference in taste between the quail eggs and chicken eggs?

With these pictures. I feel so hungry for them. (Salivating.) have not eaten quail eggs before. Just the normal one(the chicken egg) . People say its very nutritious, is that true? . If it is, I'm eager to try these out.

They seemed nutritious, and we liked them a lot!

Very nice post..sir...

this is very good @papa-pepper, very tasty quail telanda and also very much fat in comparison with ordinary chicken eggs, but if the chicken eggs are very good and the best, and also contains properties for adult men.

That's just... wow. A "tiny one foods", as they say. :)

You are right!

I have to say I have never had quail eggs. Little egg poppers, throw a whole over easy egg in your mouth and pop that yoke!! Tasty!!

Mmmmm.... That does sound tasty!

That's OK Sweet-Pepper you can have seconds. When Grandpa-Pepper comes to visit, I'd like 3 quail eggs, over medium, some wheat toast and some breakfast potatoes. Oh, and some orange juice. Thank you! We love you.

How funny at the little girl! Really? That's it!

Ha ha, the look on her face! "Dad, where's my breakfast?" That's too funny! :D

I wish I could be a welcome guest on your farm for two weeks, just so I could relive my childhood dream. Hopefully, God will blessed my family and myself with making those dreams could to reality. I enjoy watching you and your family living off the land.

Poor little Sweet-Pepper looks a tad disappointed with the size of her egg! lol You'll just have to cook more of them for a meal! They might be good in egg salad (for sandwiches or spread on crackers).

Those baby peppers are too cute!

Ive not tried quail eggs yet. Ive had chicken and duck eggs.
Id like to try ostrich eggs! Or egg i suppose
