Hey Steemians,

What is Dim sum?

Dim Sum is a Chinese style of cuisine (particularly Cantonese but also other varieties) prepared in a small bite-sized portions of food and mostly served in small steamer baskets or on a plate. Dim sum you eat during the brunch time, mostly it's served with tea. I went with my family to a place called Oriental City in Amsterdam, it's a Cantonese teahouse, carts with dim sum and it's served around the restaurant for diners to order without leaving your seats. The traditional way is to drink tea and dim sum, it's also called yum cha (飲茶), which means "drink tea" in Cantonese. I made a few pictures of the food, check them out!

I went with my family to this place in Amsterdam, one of the best dim sum places to go in Amsterdam. The name of the restaurant is; Oriental City, Oudezijds Voorburgwal 177-179, 1012 EV Amsterdam. Mostly I don't reserve for a place, if it's to full you have to wait outside approximately 15-30 minutes. The quality of the food is really good, I give it a score of 10/10, also the waitress are super friendly. About the price, we ate with 5 people around 80 euro (100USD), that's quite cheap in my opinion. Let me know what you think about Dim sum, I really appreciate for the time that you took to read my post, until the next one!
