My Experience with Switching to Soylent Meal Replacement

A couple weeks ago, I was at an event where they were handing out free Soylent. I didn't want to be "that guy" and take all of it, but at the end of the event I realized there were about a dozen bottles left over. So I decided to bring them home and see what all of they hype was.

Upon taking my first sip, I was pretty surprised. The texture of the beverage was extremely smooth, similar to soy milk. The actual taste itself is pretty interesting; at first it tastes a little bit like we wet corn starch and oatmeal, but has an ever-so-slight salty aftertaste. It isn't the most tasty thing I've eaten (or maybe drank), but certainly not the worst. All in all, its taste is pretty much an absence of taste.

So is it really a meal replacement? I would say yes. I've occasionally substituted my lunch and breakfast with one of these for the past few weeks, and it leaves me satiated for a few hours. I've not gained or lost any significant weight, and my health is pretty good. These things are packed with all the nutrients that we sometimes forget we need, so it can be helpful to know that we are getting them just by drinking one of these.

So if you ever have the chance to pick up a few of these, you might as well. Soylent also has some other flavors, but I've not tried those yet. Hope you found this helpful!

Agreed! Soy milk meal replacements these days can be really tasty. It's a good detox for occasional cleansing of the body systems too! Have followed and upvoted you. Hope you can do the same.
