What is Inkigayo Sandwich? Why it's Popular in Korea? (+recipe)

Hey guys, this is @ramengirl! Have you heard of Inkigayo Sandwich? It's super popular sandwich in Korea these days. Inkigayo is a music program that features some of the latest and most popular artists broadcast by SBS in South Korea. It airs live every Sunday at 12:10 PM KST.

Inside of the broadcast SBS Open Hall, they have a little store that they sell drinks, snacks etc. and they have this colorful sandwich that I'm going to introduce you today. People call this sandwich Inkigayo sandwich and it got popular since a lot of k-pop idols posted on their SNS. One of the most famous k-pop idol singers G-dragon is also known as a big fan of Inkigayo sandwich. Only the staffs, singers can access this store so a lot of k-pop fans curious about how this sandwich tastes like. I found the recipe online and arranged a little bit!

Let's get started.

Inkigayo Sandwich

Ingredients:

_{• 8 sandwich bread
• 5 eggs
• 3 potatoes
• 2 cups of cabbage
• 1 tablespoon of strawberry jam
• 1 tablespoon of ketchup
• 4 tablespoon of mayonnaise
• 1 tablespoon of white vinegar
• A pinch of salt and pepper}

Course:

<sub>1. Peeled potatoes and boil it about 20 minutes.
2. Add eggs to another pot and boil for 12 minutes.
3. Remove the shell of the egg, put it in a bowl with potatoes, and crush it.
4. Add 2 tablespoons mayonnaise, a pinch of salt, and pepper to mashed potato & eggs and mix together.
5. Slice the cabbage thinly, add 1 tablespoon vinegar, 1 tablespoon ketchup, 2 tablespoons mayonnaise, and mix well.
6. Sand in order of bread, potato & egg salad, bread, strawberry jam, bread, cabbage salad, and bread. Cut edges and wrap them.</sub>

Wow! It tastes much better than I thought. It's the best combination of crunch texture of cabbage and soft potato egg salad and sweet strawberry jam! This is a combination never cant' go wrong​ ;) I can't become a K-pop idol but I still can taste Inkigayo sandwich! :D Do you want to try this sandwich?
