Last year I went to Mexico City for three days for work and my hotel was in a very nice area on the remodel walk, a few blocks from a very cute Carl's Jr. where I ate almost twice in a row. To this I went with that same expectation and was not the same, but neither was wrong.
I'm a little surprised how two branches of the same brand may be so different, but of course ... they are different countries. In Mexico I remember that I had seemed half expensive and the food had enchanted me, so much that the next day I returned. Also the place was big, cute, with a patio with a big awning overlooking the street, good wood tables, etc. In the United States did not happen to me, it was a local berreta, nothing to see.
But on the other hand we ate three people (three burgers, a burrito, big chicken tenders, some potatoes and drink) for just $ 20 dollars, a treat. Judging from these two experiences, I could say that in Mexico, this brand aims at a higher level audience and, instead, in the USA, a much more massive one.
The hamburger I ate here was a Western, with cheese, bacon and onion rings inside. It was quite large and rich. The tenders were very good. I found in some of them a bit of chicken nerves but it is logical because they were clearly strips of pure breast, it was not that paste of something that tries to be chicken that give us in some other franchise that begins with Mc (and ends with Donalds) .
There was a free WiFi but it was called "Netgear" the net so I'm not sure that out of them. I guess that was because the signal level was the maximum according to my phone and there were no other shops nearby.
I do not know if I recommend it. For the price if ... but the food was nothing special. In Mexico yes, not here in California. What I can say is that I prefer it before Mc and I put it on and off with BK. And one detail: if you're a fan of Yankee mayonnaise, like me, the one you get here is horrible, the worst I've had anywhere in the USA, very weird ... or it looked like mayonnaise.

Thanks @papa-pepper for the gift
The inside looks similar to the Carl's Jr in Singapore. :-)
