Have you ever heard of an artichoke!? I used to hear of it not know what it was. At one time I thought it was a type of cheese! Now I know that it is a consumable flower that has many health benefits for the human body. Read on if you want to learn about the many health benefits of artichoke!

1.) ARTICHOKES ARE FLOWERS
As you may have noticed in the title, artichokes are not a fruit nor vegetable, but a flower! some people may call it a thistle, but this is how an artitchoke looks when it blooms!

there are diffrent types of artichokes, but in this article I'll mainly be going over the health benefits green artichokes.

2.) ARTICHOKES HAVE LOTS OF VITAMINS IN THEM
Yep! Artichokes actually have vitamin K, C, B1, B6, and metals your body needs like iron and copper. And since vitamins defeat free radicals (substances that harm the body,) artichokes are a supper food!

3.) ARTICHOKES ARE GOOD FOR THE LIVER
Artichokes are good for the liver, which does quite a lot for the body itself.

4.) ARTICHOKES ARE GOOD FOR THE DIGESTIVE AND IMMUNE SYSTEM
Artichokes have dietary fiber in them, which is what makes us full and helps the digestive system out by helping digest food.

5.) ARTICHOKES ARE GOOD FOR THE HEART
Artichokes also have potassium in them which is good for the heart muscle. Potassium also regulates blood pressure and blood sugar, which is good for the body over all. Artichokes also have calcium in them which is good for the bones.
