The term kueh or kuih is widely used in Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore to refer to sweet or savory desserts. Though referred to by another name, one tends to find different versions of similar kuih in neighboring countries, such as Vietnam, Thailand, and Myanmar. For example, colorful steamed cake layers and rich cake of sweet potatoes are also available in Myanmar
