Stick to a low-fat diet.
You've heard it before, it's the conventional wisdom crap all these mainstream nutritionists, dieticians, fitness trainers, MDs and the USDA Dietary Guidelines push upon you. It's apparently how you stay healthy.
Sorry, at Burn Off Your Beer Belly, we disagree completely!
Dietary fat is NOT the issue. Sugar is.
Quick, grab any food item you may have that says 'low-fat' or 'fat free' on it. Find the sugar content.
I bet it's a pretty high amount. And if not, within the other ingredients you'll find sucrulose, dextrose, fructose or any of the other 'oses' which is actually just SUGAR!
Sugar is the cause for a whole host of diseases ---> diabetes, heart disease, cancer...etc.
Low-Fat = High Sugar.
The biggest problem with the USDA Dietary Guidelines is that they recommend lowering your sugar intake while at the same time increasing your fat-free dairy intake.
YOU CAN'T!
Fat-free dairy is extremely HIGH in sugar.

And I'll leave you with this, NOBODY should be able to use the guns of government to force people or businesses to do what they want them to do.
Cheers!
Congrats, you're a vegan. Let me know if you'd like any good recipes or smoothie ideas.
Raising animals is way more labor intensive than growing vegetables. Without subsidies to the meat and dairy industries, this stuff would not be cost-effective, and it wouldn't be a common part of our diet.
Fat is horrible for you. I'll guarantee you all the people you think are suffering from an excess of sugar do not eat a low fat diet. But people want to blame sugar because they can't give up their bacon cheeseburgers.
Chicken flesh, cow puss, all these processed chemicals and concoctions .. and it must be the sugar lol. I agree with your title, but not with your conclusions.
Are you actually on a high fat diet? And how has it worked for you?
