MARIJUANA AS A FOOD INGREDIENTS IN ACEH CURRY (#ceritadarang2)

Hola guys, you are still with me Darang and today I would like to tell about Marijuana. Why marijuana? because the use of this plant still become controversy. There are many various kinds of ingredients used to make the food, there is also some unusual ingredients involved in the making of the dishes. You will be surprised if I tell you that Marijuana has been used as food ingredients in my hometown . It is a public secret that marijuana is known to be one of the food ingredients in Aceh, Indonesia. Many people believe that the marijuana usage as food ingredients is considered safe. Using little bit marijuana leaf or seed as a food seasoning will not make you feel fly high in the sky. It will not give harmful effect to your health either. I cannot guarantee but as far as I see, there is no people die after eat food contain this ingredient or crazy. Some people said that after eating Aceh curry they feel want to sleep. However, it is still a controversy whether it is okay to use those marijuana as food seasoning. Some people agree and some disagree with that issue.

If we talk about Acehnese traditional food, some examples of dishes that cooked with marijuana are, lamb curry, noodle soup, beef curry, etc. The most I like is Kuah Belangong. it is cooked inside a giant pan. The dish consists of diced beef or lamb, young jackfruit or banana, and spiced up with sauteed coconut, chili pepper, dried chili, garlic, ginger, turmeric, candlenut, and galangal. This food is always cooked by men. I don't know why this food is taste more better when cooked by men rather than women. Kuah belangong usually served in a large dining events such as the wedding ceremony, mawlid, and festivity. An event in Aceh is incomplete if it does not provide this food.

Usage of marijuana and another kinds of drugs are strongly banned in Indonesia. However, using it as food ingredients, I think it is tolerable. Local society said that the dishes cooked with marijuana leaves will smell and taste better it will also give local distinct flavor. Many people said that food seasoned with Marijuana in Aceh is somewhat very delicious and addictive. I do not know how to get marijuana as a spice kitchen. I also think not everyone who serve Kuah belangong always put marijuana as one of ingredient. Some people feel sleepy after eating it may be due to the effects of coconut gonseng.
