Really Venezuelan arepas are very easy to prepare, and the best thing is that it does not require a lot of ingredients, the truth is that you can adapt it to your pocket to accompany it with whatever you want. The most important thing is to be able to get the precooked corn flour, which sincerely with the current crisis in Venezuela, is much easier to obtain in other countries than here. So they have no excuses to try the cuisine of this beautiful nation.
These arepas you can fill with the companion of your choice, whether chicken, fish, meat, beans, ham, scrambled eggs, among others and according to that they carry different names. In this case I will prepare my favorites "La reina pepiada" (chicken and avocado) and I will make others with cheese (you can use the cheese of your preference, either yellow, paisa or the hard one that is grated).

Ingredients:
• 1 cup of precooked cornmeal of the brand of your choice.
• 1 cup of water.
• 1 pinch of salt.
• The companion or fill you want to place.
Preparation process:
• Once all the ingredients have been gathered, the first thing to do is the dough, and to achieve this, mix the water with the flour.
• Start kneading constantly until you can not feel any type of lump, until you reach a malleable texture and little sticky, and to achieve that you can add a little more water and flour.
• Once the proper texture of the dough has been reached, it begins to create balls and they are crushed in circles. If you want to make them bigger you have to make a hole in the center with your finger, so they cook better.
• Then begin to fry in a pan with hot oil, trying to brown on both sides without burning.
• Once lists are placed on a napkin, so that it absorbs the excess oil.
• With the help of a knife they open and fill with the companion of your preference. And they are ready to serve and enjoy.
