Recipe for garri flakes: Sumptous appetizer

This is a very common meal for the African man. It is very nutritious and at same time easy and fast to prepare. It is very keeps you fit and full of energy pending the main meal.

Its not a poor mans meal like some may presume out of ignorance I presume because taking garri flakes in my opinion and as the elders would agree is what makes you truly African.

In fact your citizenship as a Nigerian is questionable if you have for once in 6months not taken garri flakes as appetizer.

INGREDIENTS:

  • One to two cups of garri (depending of the absorbant factor of the garri).

  • 1 cup of water

  • A pinch of salt or 1-2 cube of sugar

  • Pepper (optional)

  • Groundnut or Coconut to spice up the flavor

PREPARATION

*Put the quantity of the substance (garri) into a bowl for saturation with water

  • Add a bit of salt or sugar

  • Add groudnut

  • Saturate the mixture with water and stir for even distribution of the component.

  • the resulting compound is called garri flakes.
