This is a perennial problem I face, 15 minutes of walking or sitting for a movie or even at the desktop for a few hours and my ankles swell. The medical term is edema. The reason can be- excess of salt consumption (YES), heart function is not in peak condition (YES), drinking less water ( NOT SURE). So besides exercise and a low sodium diet what can you do- Try Turnip and Leek soup
