Sculpin at Popotla fishing village in Baja, Mexico. An hour drive from the border of San Diego/Mexico, this tiny little fishing village is phenomenal. Boats come in loaded with fresh catch. And fishmongers right on the beach sell them whole, or cook them for you. Our friends at are helping small Mexican fishermen and fisher women get their top notch product into Mexico's best restaurants. Fishers in Mexico are really badly neglected, they say.
