Baked Apple Pies For the Very First Time (Cover The Crust With Foil They Said )

Followed two separate recipes:

• baked at 375 for the first 25 minutes crust covered in foil to prevent over browning then another 23 minutes crust uncovered turned out really good, pretty proud of myself. (For following directions I did not in anyway come up with this on my own)

Funny story about the Christmas tree crust. I've seen people use those little leaf cookie cutters and it looks so pretty. Well I don't have those but I do have a Christmas tree cutter from a make your own gingerbread house kit (don't even ask about that disaster). So I ask you this , who needs leaves when you can have the whole damn tree?

I love this pie pan, I didn't need to do anything to make the crust pretty its already shaped kind of like a flower. ( I'm aware you can't see it from the angle I took this picture sorry, but trust me is wavy)

This crust design I did by hand but after a fight with the foil trying to cover it (it's a lot harder than it sounds) well refer to the next picture down below.

:( Poor pretty crust got all messed up...Oh well it didn't affect the taste at all it was delicious!! :)
