Greetings dear friends, this time we will prepare Fried Plantain Sandwich (Patacón Maracucho).
This Venezuelan specialty is sandwiched between two slices of crispy fried plantain.
To prepare the recipe of Patacón Filling:

Yellow cheese. (Optional)
The zulian patacon is different from the tostones and patacones in the rest of the country and the Caribbean area, it is thin and stylized, it is filled with different ingredients and two (2) thin and wide lids are used in a kind of zuliano sandwich.
To prepare a patacón, cut a small green banana in half, fry for 10 minutes both pieces in plenty of hot oil, until it is well browned and drained in a colander.
Apart we placed a plastic bag cut by the sides forming two covers with the shape of <placed on a wooden board or over the top of the kitchen, in the middle we add salt, oregano and ground garlic and placed one of the pieces of banana, Cover with plastic bag and crush with a level plate until obtaining a flattened disk that we fry in hot oil until it is toastadito.
We take one of the patacón sides ready and fill with the ingredients of our choice; However, every patacón is always stuffed with hand cheese, lettuce, tomato on wheels, green sauce, ketchup and mustard, the rest of the ingredients will depend on the taste and the pocket of the diner. The most popular ingredient to fill the patacones is the baked shank cut into small slices.
The Fried Plantain Sandwich (Patacón Maracucho) comes from the city of Maracaibo in the State of Zulia, where there are food places specialized in this type of preparation, there are countless street food stalls offering Fried Plantain Sandwich (Patacón Maracucho) and each place is said to be better than another.
In some places the Fried Plantain Sandwich (Patacón Maracucho) is made with mature banana and filled with almost any product. This is perhaps the dish of the best known Marabina cuisine in Venezuela.
