This past weekend, my husband and I were walking around the East Village in NYC and looking for a place to grab lunch.
We walked by a restaurant called Risotteria Melotti and decided to try it out.
The food was absolutely delicious!!! I was blown away, will definitely go back soon.
Here's what we had:
To start out, they gave us free pieces of bread and rice crackers. My favorite was the rice crackers, they were so crispy and had a hint of olive oil fragrance.
I ordered a risotto with duck breast ragu, the flavor was rich yet balanced, makes you wanted to keep eating.
My husband ordered a saffron risotto with sausages and Parmigiano cheese. I tried a little bit of his dish, it was delicious as well. However, I like mine slightly more.
We also ordered a salad (I was too excited to dig in and forgot to take a picture) and rice arancini served with tomato sauce as appetizers to share.
Here's the picture for rice arancini:
It was crispy outside and cheesy inside, the tomato sauce tastes strong and matches really well with the rice balls.
To sum up, we had a great meal at Risotteria Melotti, it was definitely a great find for us and I would like to share with anyone that's interested in Italian food as well.
Hope you like this post :)
