Menopause which marks the end of woman menstrual cycle begins in 40s to 50s. It occurs around 12 months after the last menstruation and signals the end of fertility for such a woman.

It comes with it associated symptoms which include hot flashes, emotional symptoms which may cause disruption in sleep,anxiety and lower energy in some women.

It is a natural biological process which can not be prevented totally, but medical scientist experts had proffer ameliorating measures. These range from life style adjustment to hormone therapy.

A recent research has shown that this medical condition can be delayed through the consumption of vegetable proteins such as whole grains, soy and tofu. This was published on Science Daily.
